Thor Hanson is passionate about wood, art and beauty. He is the owner and primary craftsman/artist of Thor Hanson Custom Woodwork. Born in Wisconsin in 1955, Thor studied Engineering on his way to fine woodworking. He spent 10 years on Kauai, presenting his furniture in Galleries of the Hawaiian Islands. In 1996, he moved to Germany where he focused on antique restoration, and European style custom furniture. In 1998, he brought his talents to California, and founded Thor Hanson Custom Woodwork in Novato.
